Liberated stars Cot Quilt

This is a special Cot Quilt for a special Baby, expected November 2009. I machine pieced and hand quilted

Flower applique

A friend asked me to do an applique of a flower.I did this over Freezer paper - a project not to be rushed. she sent the backing fabric - all black also a small piece of fabric to put my signature on. I decided rather than use Black ink I would do it in 2 strands of embroidery cotton,black on white in stem stitch.

Bargello

I Enjoyed doing this small piece of Bargello, was hesitant on the colours I chose but now am pleased with the result

June challenge

This is a 12 inch piece we had to do for
the June challenge,not yet finished, I could make it into a garden cushion with added borders.

Papavers

My May Garden
This started as one solitary poppy, now it produces around 7 to 8, have seen so many quilts with the papaver being the focal point.

The small 4 inch blocks were paper pieced

from pieces of scrap .

Machine sew/hand quilted

This is the first large quilt I ever made

Tesselation Quilt

Saw this pattern in a quilt shop in Germany, as the shop was closed I ordered it as soon as I arrived home.
